Can I hail a Mega Cab on the road?
Of course. And if the Cab is not occupied or travelling to another assigned pick up, the driver will be more than happy to get you on board. If the Taxi Top is glowing red, it means the cab is engaged. If it is white, he is available and ready to serve you.
What is the fare that I will be charged?
The fares are prescribed by the Regional Transport Authority or State Transport Authority for metered radio taxis in the cities of Delhi, and Bengaluru. In other states, the fares are self regulated and not prescribed by any authority. These include fares for distance travelled, waiting charges, if any, and a night surcharge as applicable in your city. For more details, please click on the page for your city.
Will I be charged for waiting time also?
The charge for waiting time while the meter is flagged on is as prescribed by the Department of Transport of the respective cities. In other cities, the waiting charges are self regulated and not prescribed by any authority.
Do I have to pay toll charges when I travel with Mega Cabs?
Yes, you will be paying toll charges at the actual rates if you cross toll posts while travelling. However, in case a cab you have booked crosses the toll gate while coming to pick you up, then you need not pay the charges.
How do I pay after the completion of my trip?
You can pay the chauffeur in cash or by debit/credit card (VISA/Master Card/AMEX) as per the fare on the meter with extras, if any, (for waiting or night surcharge) and a printed receipt/e-receipt will be given to you. Please always insist on the printed receipt. If you have any complaints, please fill up our client feedback form. This will help us to resolve your problem quickly.
Will I get a printed receipt for the amount paid?
Always. Please insist on it. Our chauffeurs are trained to give the receipt for every fare they collect. If, by mistake, they don’t, please ask for it.
Can I use the cab without flagging down the meter?
We track every fare that the cab is taking and actively dissuade our chauffeurs from taking an un-metered fare. An un-metered fare is in violation of the Department of Transport rules and exposes the chauffeur to penal action.
Moreover, if you have a complaint against the chauffeur, you would not need a valid printed receipt/e-receipt at the end of your journey to make a valid complaint.
What do I do if I have left something behind in one of the cabs?
Please call our Customer Service Centre at 41414141 for Delhi and Kolkata, call 4141414 in Ludhiana and Chandigarh, 47474747 in Bangalore and 5151515 in Amritsar (don’t forget the STD code if you’re calling from a mobile) and give us the details of the cab number, date and time of travel (all this information is on your receipt/e-receipt) and we will help you track down your missing item. Mega Cabs chauffeurs are trained to report items left behind in a cab. So if you tell us the details of your commute, it makes it easy for us to link you with your missing item!
Can I cancel a booking?
Absolutely. We do understand that sometimes, plans change and you may need to cancel a booking. Please tell us as soon as you can and we will cancel it for you.
Is there a charge for booking on the phone or on the web? What if I don’t want to pay it?
Yes, there is a Convenience Charge for booking through our call centre number. This convenience charge is currently not applicable in Chandigarh, Delhi and Kolkata. However, if you book a cab through our mobile app or the website, no convenience charge will be applicable.
Is there any guarantee for getting a cab if I pay Convenience Charge?
This is not a guaranteed service. Cab will be provided as per availability. The Convenience Charge will be applicable only if you get a cab.
How do I pay the Convenience Charge?
You have to pay this charge to our chauffer along with the fare charges. It will automatically get added to your bill.
Why do I have to pay the Convenience Charge?
The Call Centre booking is a dedicated service offered to our customers. There are costs and resources used for such a service at the call centre. This charge will be payable at the end of the journey along with the taxi fare. However, this Convenience Charge is not applicable if you book a cab through our mobile application or website, when you take a cab from the airport or flag a cab down on the street.
Will every call to the call centre attract the Convenience Charge?
No, Convenience Charge will be applicable only if you make a booking through the call centre and use the cab service. Any other service calls i.e. to check the booking status, to cancel/modify a booking, to give your feedback, or an enquiry call will not attract any fees.
Do I need to register on your website to avail your services?
Yes, you need to register on our website using your mobile number. This can help you login and book a cab in less than 60 seconds. Please do not forget to change your password when you log in for the first time.

If you are a registered user, please enter your correct login id i.e. your registered "Mobile Number" and "Password". If you have forgotten your password, please click on "Forget password" link next to the login window on the home page. Enter your user id (i.e. your mobile number) then click on "SMS me the password" button. We will send your password via SMS & email.
