They also form one of the major tourist circuits in the country. Delhi has a long history, being the capital of Hindu and Muslim dynasties, the Mughals, the British and now the Indians. Agra and its surrounding area contain many superb monuments built by the Mughal emperors. Jaipur was built by the Rajput warriors after the decline of the Mughal Empire and contains many palaces and interesting structures. Delhi has two contrasting sides the enthralling ancient monuments combined with the modern touch of this capital city. The Taj Mahal, built of white marble, is the greatest homage to love. The Pink City of Jaipur is famous for its magnificent forts and palaces. |
